fl studio keys

i am using Garritan personal orchestra (kontakt player) in fl studio . I am new to this software and can’t work out how to use more than one instrument from the GPO plug in at the same time. I can load the different instruments into the 8 different channels within GPO and i can play these instruments separately in the plug in(using the keys) but i can’t use the instruments separately in fl studio.(to record patterns) hope this explanation is understandable. if some one can i help i will be extremely grate full!!!!

  1. Joe J Says:

In the piano roll, there should be a color pallet on the upper left corner. Choose different colors and make your notes in different colors to trigger different sounds from GPO.

also, if your looking to have your midi keyboard/typing keyboard trigger more than one instrument. you can load the kontakt player into a mixer track as an affect and then make up to 16 midi out channels and set each channel as a different channel on the midi out plugin screen and have them all going to the same port. (the port that you have selected in your midi options) i use edirol orchestra like this and have every channel grouped so that when i click on a channel in the step sequencer it automatically plays that channel when i hit a key. theres no way do do this if you load GPO as a channel. also you have to route GPO to that midi port on the back of the GPO player by clicking on the button at the top left of the player right next to the triangle…. hope this helps
