hi, i am trying to make my own remix of lady gaga- bad romance using fruity loops studio 9. I have downloaded the acapella for this song and have imported it onto fl 9. Is there a way you can match the acpella to the beat, is there something that can automatically adjust it? I have tried changing the metronome to match the song but sometimes it goes in time with the acapella, sometimes it doesnt? Is there any way you can adjust the acapella to match the timing of the beat?? Thanks for your help :)

There might be a break in the track, which causes the acapella to go off beat. Best would be to cut the acapella up in pieces and beat match every piece seperately. I do not use FL Studio myself, but it will most likely allow you to zoom in on the wave, allowing you to match the acapella with the beat accurately. A metronome is only useful if you record your own music. Go with what you hear and the wave signal.

easiest thing to do is find the tempo and key of ¨Bad Romance¨ and match ur beat to it,

but what you wanna do is not as simple, u still have to find the tempo and key of the acapella but then stretch the track to ur beat so it matches and whatever key you are using, to do this, cut about 8 bars of the acapella from what you hear, not what it says which will be different, then get the paint brush tool and set the snap-to/quantize setting on the playlist to none, then stretch/squeeze the cut clip into 8 bars which you can see on FL Studio. Tweak around a bit until it sounds on beat then use the little ¨¨ tool and ¨stretch/reveal¨ the rest of it out.

Notice that the pitch should have changed to.

For the pitch you need to know the difference between the keys of your beat and the acapella, if its 2 notes then in the little ¨Pitch¨ dial (in the audio clip info box next to where it says ¨Resample¨ in a drop down box) by 200 Cents either up or down so it matches your beat, remember each note is equal to 100 cents to a if the acapella is on a B and the beat on the C then you need to increase the pitch of the acapella by 100 cents.
